Australia Country Lead

Daniel is an internationally-recognised economist with expertise in agriculture, rural development, environmental policy and markets, and behavioural insights/interventions and with a strong technical capability in data analysis (econometrics, data analytics), web development, impact evaluation and program design. He’s acted as lead economist and consultant on programs such as those underpinning the innovative programs being run by Farming for the Future and Intersection Traders.

Daniel has consulted for international clients (e.g. OECD, World Bank), as well as regional and local clients (e.g. New South Wales Government, Pew Charitable Trust, Central Land Council) and continues to hold research leadership roles including acting as Associate Editor for the Australian Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics.

With expertise in web development, governance, and programming, Daniel manages thriving agro-food businesses, including Ugandan coffee value chains, startup agri-tech initiatives and a set of showcase cafes that highlight innovation and ethical procurement in agrifood supply chains.
